What skills and experience we're looking for

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher of food to join our Technology team. We would also be interested in hearing from individuals who are not yet qualified as teachers and would like to train with us.

We are a community where everyone feels they belong and are the best they can be. Technology has always been a highlight of the school’s provision and we are looking for someone to continue this heritage.

At key stage 4 we deliver Hospitality and Catering and are looking to expand our provision into key stage 5 as part of our Sigma Sixth onsite provision.

The technology department has been recently refurbished with three separate kitchens and a computer room shared across the department. A food technician supports the team which is led by our subject coordinator food.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Ability to teach "outstanding" lessons in Food
  • Ability to deliver a high quality broad and balanced curriculum
  • A proven track record in monitoring and improving student attainment
  • A passion for teaching within the curriculum area and making a real difference to young people
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
