What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Food to join our thriving Design Technology Department. Applicants should have a proven track record of success and be committed to further improving teaching and learning as well as student progress within the area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop in a supportive, well-resourced and exciting environment. The vacancy is suitable for experienced or NQT (ECT) candidates.
The successful candidate will join a well-established Technology Department where high standards are expected of staff as well as pupils, but in a lively and supportive atmosphere. It is important that our staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about their specialism. We want to benefit fully from your skills, personality and knowledge. You must be able to inspire and enthuse students through your teaching. An engaging personality, attention to detail, a creative approach to the delivery of the curriculum and strategies to enable all students to make or exceed their levels of progress are all essential in order to accelerate student progress and promote the enjoyment of the subject.

We are oversubscribed and also benefitting from Litherland Moss Primary School, that is part of our Multi Academy Trust, located on our site. This is a very exciting time to join our school as we continue our journey to become an outstanding school.

Food plays an important role in our curriculum offer and due to increasing popularity we are looking to expand our Food Technology Department. Food is taught within our KS3 Technology carousel and KS4 pupils follow the WJEC Level 1 / 2Hospitality and Catering course.This is a superb opportunity to join a cohesive, professional and supportive team with excellent facilities and extensive resources.
You will work closely with the Subject Leader for Design Technology, to enhance provision of learning. You will collaborate with the Department to support the development of schemes of work to ensure the curriculum is engaging to all learners,alongside supporting student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school.
