Teacher of Food Technology job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield (Secondary Phase) have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Food Technology to join their team!

The Teacher of Food Technology will ensure the highest standards of learning, development and achievement for their scholars and will take responsibility for the education and welfare of all scholars of Astrea Academy Sheffield.

As a Teacher of Food Technology you will:

  • Set goals that stretch and challenge scholars of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of all scholars
  • Promote high standards of attainment, progress and outcomes for all scholars
  • Have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain scholars’ interests in these subjects and address misunderstandings and misconceptions

We are looking for:

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Successful experience of teaching Food Technology at KS3 & KS4
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Technology or a very closely related subject area
