What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Food and Textiles teacher with an infectious passion for the subjects to join us.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to create innovative and exciting learning opportunities for our students. You will be part of a wider Technology team and will receive excellent support and opportunities for development within the academy and across the Trust.

You must be confident in the delivery of Design and Technology and have the ambition and dedication to deliver the curriculum intent in line with current practice and research in effective teaching. Whilst predominately Food and Textiles, teaching will include Technology across Key Stage 3.

You will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and seek to inspire students within all areas of Technology.

To be successful, you must have the ambition and dedication to continue to support the continued growth of positive results and support our wider curriculum offer. Passionate about your specialism, you will recognise the importance and impact that these areas of the curriculum have on the global workforce and will support our students’ prospects by ensuring that they have the critical knowledge, skills, understanding and practical application that will serve them well beyond the curriculum, in their lives and in their careers.

Technology benefits from purpose-built, modern, fantastic facilities that provide a stimulating environment across all disciplines. We have resourced the area well with the equipment that serves our students well within all areas of their studies, and it is an environment staff and students are rightfully proud of. We strongly encourage you to visit and take a look.
