The Holgate Academy are seeking a Teacher of Food Technology with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every learner succeed to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, and to deliver innovative lessons which engage and challenge students to achieve their full potential.
You will be joining an enthusiastic and supportive team who strive to ensure the students get the best possible experience. Students learn in a safe and supportive environment where manners, determination and teamwork are consistently encouraged. The food technology department supports all students, and we are proud of our approach to diverse learning and inclusivity of both ingredients and learning.
The Academy prides itself on providing both practical and theory-based lessons which are exceptionally important for Food Technology Education.
We are a team of teachers passionate about providing students with the opportunities to explore texts from a variety of different writers, backgrounds and experiences. Cultural capital is at the heart of our curriculum model. It is designed to support their knowledge and understanding of the world around them as well as encourage healthy and lively debates about topics that matter to them.
Join our creative team - this post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher and we would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break, and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.

We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre. We support our young people, so they enjoy their time at the academy and play a key part in all that academy life has to offer. We are immensely proud of the successes achieved by our students and we constantly strive to do more and be even better. Our ultimate purpose is very simple – to do everything that we can to ensure that our students leave ready to take their place in an increasingly complicated and competitive world.
