An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly effective Teacher of French to join us at The Roundhill Academy. Teaching experience will not be a determining factor - we will consider a full-time role for NQTs and 0.6 for more experienced colleagues. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and inspirational linguist to join the enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages team. You will contribute ideas and share resources to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum. You will encourage and support learners to become confident whilst challenging them to achieve to the best of their ability. You will promote diversity and encourage students to explore other cultures with an open mind. 

 

We will develop every staff member who joins our team, providing one-to-one support, coaching and mentoring and access to extensive network training. 

 

The ideal candidates will have: 

·        Qualified teaching status, and up to date and working knowledge of the teaching of French and appropriate resources which deliver outstanding teaching and learning opportunities 

·        Genuine passion for and a belief in the potential of every pupil 

·        Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels 

·        An understanding of the need for equality of opportunity within a changing community 

·        The ability to motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative and encouraging lessons

The Roundhill Academy is a hive of high quality teaching & learning. It has been oversubscribed for the last few years but is aiming to limit its intake to 150 students every year with class sizes limited to 25 students. The Roundhill Academy and Wreake Valley Academy both feed into The Bradgate Sixth Form, and teachers joining Roundhill but wanting to gain experience teaching A level or post 16 qualifications can be offered that opportunity at Bradgate 6th which is based on The Wreake Valley campus (1 mile away).
