Teacher of French and Spanish job summary
Required for September 2022 a teacher of French and Spanish
Sandhurst School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of French and Spanish, to join this dynamic department. This is a permanent position starting either September 2022, or July for a suitably qualified ECT. This role would include teaching French and Spanish to KS3 and potentially KS4. The role would suit both a more experienced teacher or someone new to the profession completing an ECT programme.

We are seeking a highly skilled teacher to teach French and Spanish and help contribute to the continued development of the department. We endeavour to make the subject interesting and accessible for all students, with a wide variety of teaching strategies and techniques used to ensure student engagement and progress. We have a range of resources available to aid in the delivery of the subject; these include subscriptions to online learning platforms such as Languagenut and Kerboodle, chrome books and an extensive range of textbooks. The department has a history of running educational visits to places like the Rhineland, Boulogne and Paris and the Department has an interest in creative enrichment and extracurricular activities, which in the past have included a French cooking club and a Spanish film club.
The successful candidate will show:
● A good understanding of MFL curriculum and teaching practice
