What skills and experience we're looking for

Required from September 2026 we are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of French to join our outstanding Languages Department teaching French across the full ability and age range including in the Sixth Form.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher of French to join a successful and diverse team of language specialists in a school which believes strongly in all children learning a minimum of two languages and offering 7 different languages as part of its taught curriculum and commitment to internationalism. To be successful you will need to be a strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment. We hope to appoint a teacher who can remove barriers to learning, communicate a passion for their subject and inspire, motivate and enthuse students about languages. This position would be suitable for an Early Careers teacher.

In 2025, French students achieved GCSE result of 9-7 30%, 9-4 76%, 9-1 100%, A Level result of A*-B 64%, IBH 7-5 100%, IBS 7-3 100%.
