What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a permanent, full time (part time would be considered) teacher of French to teach in this selective Grammar School for Boys. The successful applicant will be required to teach French throughout the age range and the ability to offer a second language to KS3 or beyond would be an advantage.

Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career.

What the school offers its staff

As a grammar school, we are privileged to work with able learners with a thirst for knowledge. However, it is equally important to note that successful applicants would join a school with kindness and integrity at the heart of our values system. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive school in which you can develop the love for your subject and share it with keen learners. Further benefits of working at Aston include a tailored CPD programme, opportunities for secondment with the MAT, an excellent free fitness studio and inspirational colleagues who share a passion for teaching.

From September 2023 all students at Key Stage 4 will study a language at GCSE as we invest in MFL as a core component of a globally-focused curriculum.
