What the school offers its staff
The French department is a strong and committed team of teachers. At the heart of the department is a drive and determination to open minds, and increase awareness of other cultures and the opportunities studying a foreign language brings. We are a busy and forward looking department. We offer students the opportunity to participate in a trip to Paris in Year 10 to enhance the love of language and culture. At lunchtime, we offer a weekly French club for KS3 students. We always want to build on our strengths and broaden our capabilities. We are supportive of each other and work collaboratively to achieve the best possible experience for all our students.
As a department, we have excellent relationships with our students. Clear expectations are set regarding work and behaviour and if these are not met, there are systems in place to support staff and pupils.
