Newlands is a successful and over-subscribed girls’ 11-18 comprehensive school with a strong reputation for academic achievement. In our very successful Ofsted inspection (October 2018) we were graded as outstanding.

We celebrate excellent GCSE results every year, with 88% of grades 9-4 in English and Maths in 2019. We also had an outstanding 100% success rate from our A-Level students, with 61% of grades at A* - B. In Modern Foreign Languages, 100% of our A-Level students achieved A*-B and 91% of our GCSE students achieved 9-4.

We are seeking to appoint from September 2022 an enthusiastic linguist for the teaching of French with Spanish and/or German as an additional language.

• A linguist with exciting ideas to build on existing good practice.
• A practitioner committed to high achievement for all students.
• A commitment to motivating and engaging all students.
