Job summary

Do you have a passion for Geography and the ability to inspire our students?

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher and Assistant Head of Faculty to join our committed and experienced Geography department. Our students are our greatest asset. This is the role for you if you want to develop your teaching practice to be the best and genuinely believe in the ability of all students to succeed. The post holder will support in the leadership of the History/Geography & MFL department.

We are looking for a teacher who is highly organised, resilient and enthusiastic. You will have:

-a degree level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
-a commitment to high academic and behavioural standards
-effective teaching, student management and communication skills.

This is an important role for our academy as we continue our journey to achieve outstanding status. To succeed in this role, you will need to:

-plan teaching to ensure progression of all students
-monitor results to ensure continuous improvement to teaching
-carry out form tutor responsibilities for an assigned group of students.

The St Leonards Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 16-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We have a clear vision of what creates successful learners and how to implement it.
