What skills and experience we're looking for

The Buckingham School’s vision is Success for All; success for our students, our staff and our community. By joining us, you will be part of an establishment that seeks to develop individuals holistically, through our seven school virtues, where personal responsibility and self-improvement underpin all that we do. We are a student-centred school that recognises that our staff have the authority, expertise and passion to bring our vision to life.

Due to the school’s expansion and growth in student numbers, we seek to appoint an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Geography. Whilst having a real passion for the subject, we are looking for an innovative and committed classroom practitioner who can teach exceptional Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 as well as the experience and drive to continually improve the subject. We are looking for the right candidate to raise standards of student attainment and achievement, monitor and support student progress and hold high expectations of themselves, their team and their students.

This is an exciting period to join The Buckingham School; we have just completed 2.5 million pounds of renovation work within the school, with more remodelling and renovation of the school premises planned in the near future. We have seen steady improvement in all areas of the school over the past three years and we will continue in our quest to become the community school of choice within the locality. We are ambitious, oversubscribed and our students are fantastic to work with.

Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers. We have a proven track record of support and development and an excellent ECT package is available.
