What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative geography teacher to join a talented and committed Humanities team, in a well-resourced department.
Required for September 2023, we are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of geography. Whether you are an ECT or more experienced teacher, you will be joining a collaborative and highly skilled group of professionals.

As an inspirational and caring teacher, you will have the simple aim to make sure that every child, in every lesson, is cared for and achieves good academic outcomes. That is the heart of what we believe and try to live up to.
We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:
- Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels.
- Have excellent subject knowledge.
- Have a keen interest in developing the geography curriculum area.
- Enjoy working as part of a wider team, having a real sense of fun.

- Great students who are proud to be part of Cove School.
- An open and honest professional culture and learning community.
- A well-resourced curriculum area with your own laptop.

Cove School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
As part of Keeping Children Safe in Education we may perform an online search as part of our due diligence checks on shortlisted candidates. This search could be carried out across publicly accessible social media platforms, blogs, or professional networks.
