Teacher of Geography job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and well qualified Geography Teacher to join our highly successful Geography Department within the Humanities faculty.
You will join our successful, friendly and creative team who enjoy an excellent reputation both within and beyond the school. The team is made up of a mixture of highly experienced and more recently qualified professionals. There is a great atmosphere of support and challenge within the team and as part of the wider Humanities Faculty. If you are an effective practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students, we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will not only be passionate about their subject, and have exceptional subject knowledge, have a passion and drive to deliver and engage students in their studying of Geography and be excited by the challenge to teach Geography at all Key Stages. The outstanding behaviour of our students truly gives you the opportunity to teach your subject and deliver exciting and engaging lessons.

Avanti House is a secondary school (11-19) that opened in 2012 and is located in its new £25-million-pound building located in Stanmore, Wemborough Road HA7 2EQ. You will be able to teach in facilities that are up to date and at the cutting edge of technology.
Avanti schools are Hindu-designated faith schools. However, all staff members at Avanti House School will not be required to present themselves from any specific faith background and there will be no preference given in this regard. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.
Avanti House secured outstanding outcomes both in terms of attainment and progress when its Second cohort of students sat their GCSE examinations in 2020. The school scored a progress 8 value of +1.54 which is well above the national average, with over 87% gaining Grade 5 or above in Geography. We have at KS5 the top ALPS score of 1.
