What skills and experience we're looking for

Acland Burghley School is looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Geographyfrom September 2025 to join our friendly and successful Geography department and Humanities Faculty.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a strong classroom teacher to work in a thriving city comprehensive which has inclusion at its core. We have an experienced and committed team of teachers. Geography is a popular subject for students at GCSE and A level with a high uptake.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning in Geography, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves the highest possible academic standards. You will be able to teach to A Level, lead groups on field trips, and will have an interest in supporting students in KS3-5 in wider aspects of their personal and academic development. This post would be suitable for a well-qualified ECT, or a more experienced teacher looking to develop their career in a different setting.
