Teacher of Geography Full Time Permanent

MPS / UPS

Required from September 2025

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and inspiring teacher of geography. As an outstanding classroom practitioner, you will be part of the wider humanities faculty, with the potential to teach geography up to A Level. Candidates will also have the ability to teach either history or religion, philosophy & ethics (RPE) as a second subject. You will be central to ensuring the best standards, outcomes and engagement in the classroom from Key Stage 3 to 5. Applications from ECTs warmly received as well as those from more experienced staff. We have an excellent record of ECT support.

You will first and foremost be an excellent teacher who leads by example. You will have a track record of always putting young people first, and the ability to inspire and take students and colleagues with you to continually improve our students’ learning.

At KEVICC you will have the chance to work alongside a great group of colleagues who are all committed to the absolute best for our young people. You'll work in a school that is proudly comprehensive, inclusive and kind. Most importantly, you will get to work with our fantastic students, with the chance everyday to see the impact you have on their learning.

You will also be joining a forward-thinking school that is excited to collaborate across our trust of like-minded schools and more widely. In 2022 we joined Education South West, a trust of local primary and secondary schools that includes a nationally recognised teaching school hub at Kingsbridge.

We want an exceptional teacher, with the energy, vision, work ethic and good humour to inspire and take the high standards of the faculty to the next level.

We offer:

A highly supportive team of colleagues who are visible, hard-working and committed to our young people.

Ongoing bespoke professional development and career pathways, including National Professional Qualifications.

The chance to work with great young people in a comprehensive setting, in a beautiful part of the country.

A multi-million pound investment programme planned across the school over the coming 3 years.

The opportunity to support the delivery of geography across a truly comprehensive mixed age range, from Year 7 all the way up to Year 13.

KEVICC, as we are widely known, is situated in the South Hams town of Totnes, serving a wide and varied area. You can get a glimpse of what we are about via the website, Instagram (@kevicc.totnes) and YouTube (KEVICC Totnes).

We would welcome and always encourage prospective candidates to get in touch ahead of application. To do so, email our Assistant Principal Ben Cotton Ben.Cotton@kingedwardvi.org.uk
