Are you an outstanding teacher with the passion and motivation to inspire young people?
If so, then you will not want to miss out on this opportunity to join us as Teacher of Geography (maternity cover) at our high-performing College, where students make progress that is above the national average.
Why come to Latimer? This is a fantastic school to work in: as a result of our success and popularity we are over-subscribed and have a very strong positive reputation. On interview we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the supportive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.
We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focussed on, and passionate about, learning and success.
We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was very much recognised in our most recent Ofsted Inspection, where we sustained our Good rating.
If you are an outstanding teacher it really is worth applying for this post. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about Geography in particular, and Humanities more widely; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and team work; someone who really wants to make a difference!
We are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach Geography at KS3 and 4. The ability to teach the subject to KS5 would be of interest to us. There may be a requirement to teach the other Humanities subjects of History and RS at KS3.
We welcome applications from NQTs and we run a highly supportive and successful NQT programme. We also have a strong track record of leadership development and succession planning and would be interested in an ambitious candidate who is keen to progress to leadership in the future.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
The Latimer Arts College values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.

Expect the unexpected and the amazing - because that is what you will get!
We value the contributions that our staff make to student outcomes and support them with being able to meet our high expectations through a co-ordinated performance management system for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
