Teacher of Geography job summary

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography for September 2019. Teaching geography across all key stages, the successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement and delivering excellent teaching and learning.

You must have strong subject knowledge, be able to use assessment to plan effectively and be able to inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential. We regularly run trips as part of the geography curriculum and recent visits include London, Sicily, New York and Iceland.

VISION AND PURPOSE
1. To liaise with colleagues within the department, Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy and at other Ormiston Academies to support strategic development, share good practice and plan collaborative activities
2. Provide high quality teaching throughout the school
3. Raise student attainment with Geography
4. To maximise the learning experiences and achievement of students in assigned classes
5. Monitor and report on student progress
6. Contribute to the activities of designated curriculum areas
7. Undertake the role of form tutor, as required
8. To ensure that the federation of Ormiston Academies is always presented positively within and beyond the Academy.
