Sponne is a successful, over-subscribed community comprehensive school with specialist status for Science and Music. Outcomes are very high with 78% of students gaining grades 9-4 in English and Mathematics at GCSE and a positive Progress 8 Score.
We are looking for a committed and talented teacher to join our outstanding Geography team. The successful candidate will be able to deliver Geography at KS3, GCSE and A Level.
The Geography department forms a key part of the successful Humanities faculty at Sponne School. Geography is very popular, with large numbers of students choosing the subject at both GCSE and A Level. We are looking for an engaging and dynamic classroom practitioner to teach Geography to all year groups. The successful candidate will be a team player willing to contribute to, and learn from, the best practice in the school. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and, together with the other Humanities teachers, maintain a relentless focus on teaching and learning and raising achievement. The role is suitable for NQTs and experienced colleagues.
The successful candidate will:
● Have Qualified Teacher Status
● Geography as their Specialism
● Have good teaching skills
● Have to meet the person specification and will be required to apply for a DBS disclosure.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
