We are seeking a well-qualified, passionate Teacher of Geography to join our successful and ambitious department. This is a full time, Maternity Cover position, which would suit an NQT or an experienced colleague. St Ivo Academy is one of the largest academies in Cambridgeshire. Awarded ‘Good’ by Ofsted across all areas in our summer 2016 inspection, our academy is simply a great community in which to work and thrive.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who will engage, challenge and motivate our students. A comprehensive induction and support package is available for all new staff.

The Geography department at St Ivo Academy is highly successful. We have held the GA’s Secondary Geography Quality mark for the last 6 years and we are also a Geographical Association Centre of Excellence. Geography is a very popular option at GCSE and we currently have 13 GCSE groups across Year 10 and 11. We are following the AQA GCSE specification. Geography at A Level is also a very popular option with 41 across Year 12/13 students and we follow the OCR A level syllabus.
