The successful applicant will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to inspire students' curiosity and foster a love for learning.
- Have the ability to also teach KS3 History.
- Promote independent thinking and encourage the development of an enquiring mind among students.
- Contribute to the school's mission of delivering high-quality education through innovative and stimulating teaching practices.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Geography education and incorporate relevant advancements into lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities to enhance students' awareness, knowledge, and understanding of Geography.
- Be able to demonstrate a passion for Geography and a commitment to instilling the same passion in students.
- Have excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject matter with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Have dedication and determination to make a significant difference in the lives of students.

Ratton School became a converter academy on 1st of August 2012 and joined with Ocklynge Junior School on the 1st of December 2017 to form the South Downs Learning Trust. The aim of our trust is to provide an outstanding educational experience for all students in our schools. We want both schools to retain their own identity whilst working together to support the learning of everyone in the Trust community.
Our aim is to develop a sustainable and exciting educational experience that places our students at the centre of all that we do.
