Teacher of Geography job summary
We are seeking to appoint a skilled teacher with the ability to teach Geography throughout the school from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. The successful candidate may also be required to contribute to the teaching of other Humanities subjects at Key Stage 3. ECT are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be a well-qualified and dynamic classroom teacher, committed to raising students’ knowledge and skills leading to successful outcomes.
Geography, History and Religious Education are taught as discrete across Key Stage 3 and form our most popular option subjects at GCSE. All humanities subjects are also offered at Key Stage 5 and several students go on to study humanities related courses at higher education each year. Examination outcomes at GCSE and A-level are strong.
The Humanities team comprises 11 full time staff and several part time staff. The faculty is housed in a dedicated block with nine dedicated classrooms, its own IT suite and staff base.
