RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of MFL

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of German to join our thriving MFL department. Staff form a hardworking and professional team who have a relentless focus on Teaching and Learning. Languages are a popular option choice and students achieve excellent results at both GCSE and ‘A’ level.
The post is suitable for newly qualified or more experienced staff. The successful candidate will be able to teach German from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE. The ability to teach German at A Level would be an advantage, but is not essential. A second language at Key Stage 3 and preferably also Key Stage 4 would be beneficial.

Burford School is a highly successful 11-18 rural comprehensive school with Academy status. Established in 1571, we currently have around 1400 students on roll with a strong Sixth Form of over 200 students. Situated high above the town of Burford, on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds, the school includes a Boarding House with just under 100 boarders from both the UK and abroad.
