Teacher of German with General Cover Duties (Maternity Cover) job summary
Required from mid February 2022, a well-qualified full-time teacher of German to join this lively and high achieving girls’ selective school. It is anticipated that the maternity cover will start mid-February and run until early December 2022. Applications from ECTs and from experienced teachers are equally welcome. The teacher appointed will teach German (KS3 & 4) approx. 0.8fte and will be required to help with general cover approx. 0.2fte. (The colleague on maternity leave currently works 0.8fte over the 5 days of the week).
All pupils study two languages in KS3 and continue with at least one language in KS4. French and German (and Latin) are offered at A-level. Foreign Language Assistants provide additional support in French and German.
