We are seeking to appoint for September 2020, a dynamic, motivational and enthusiastic teacher of girls PE to join our team. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will play an integral part in delivering a broad programme of extra-curricular activities.
At Chichester High School, our aim of the curriculum is to develop the confidence, resilience, health and wellbeing of our students. Our intent is not only to improve their physical skills but equally challenge and develop student’s social skills. We aim to empower students to enjoy taking part in physical activity in the hope that they leave as healthy and happy students.
We offer a broad and inclusive curriculum across all key stages. At key stage 4 we offer GCSE PE (AQA), Health and Fitness (NCFE) and BTEC Dance (Pearson). We have recently introduced our new Sports Academy where sixth form students study BTEC Sport (Pearson) whilst having the opportunity to compete for the school in sports fixtures. The PE department boasts a successful history of outstanding outcomes at all key stages and the successful applicant will be expected to plan and deliver theory at the highest standard.
The department works extremely hard and is continuously striving to improve and raise standards. The successful applicant must be a team player and work hard to contribute towards the ethos and ambitions we have.
