The Academy opened in September 2012 on the site of the predecessor school. Maltings academy is an oversubscribed school at the heart of its local community. We have excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides.We are looking for a PE Teacher to join our academy starting in April 2023. Our aim is to give students the fundamentals to encourage involvement in sport and exercise, prepare them to continue sport and exercise after school for lifelong participation in sport, be it for pleasure or employment. Our pedagogy is underpinned by delivering a well rounded curriculum that covers both traditional sports as well as introducing students to sports that are less common to the demographic of Witham at KS3 & KS4At Maltings Academy we are committed to deliver a sustained and excellent all round education and believe every student, regardless of starting point, has the right to the highest standard of education so that they can achieve their aspirations. Our aim is to give every student a holistic educational experience that is enjoyable and supportive to help develop them into responsible, articulate, successful and altruistic young people.The balanced mix of traditional values of strong discipline, good manners, respect and pride in appearance coupled with contemporary practice in teaching and technology through Google Suite sit at our core.
