Are you a trailblazer? Do you want to be part of something new and exciting in Coventry?
Finham Park 2 is an exciting new co-educational academy in Coventry that opened in September 2015. Already a popular choice with local parents, we are significantly over-subscribed for 2019-20 and have a full cohort of Years 7 to 11 students. Our students are smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, well-behaved and polite; on entry they are significantly above the national average for attainment in English and Mathematics.
The school was set up by leaders from the ‘Outstanding’ (2015) Finham Park School and we recently moved into our newly refurbished building on Torrington Avenue. We are proud to be part of and supported by the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
Our vision is to provide another outstanding secondary school for parents and children in Coventry with the highest expectations. Finham Park 2 is a mainstream, non-selective, comprehensive school for students aged 11-18. The new academy is built on traditional values. Pivotal to this is a positive ethos and culture of learning and success for all students. There is particular regard to outstanding achievement for all students whatever their academic starting point and a commitment to lifelong learning for all stakeholders.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher of Girls PE and Science for Maternity Cover. They would need to teach a variety of sports and take an active role in our extremely popular extra-curricular programme. The successful applicant will join a strong team where teachers are committed to developing active learning strategies to challenge and inspire all our students. The successful candidate will be required to teach non-GCSE and GCSE PE and Years 7/8 Science.
Finham Park 2 is committed to the personal development of all of their staff and can offer:
-Outstanding professional development
-Supportive staff and a strong team ethos
-Supportive leadership
-Progression opportunities as the school grows
-Opportunities for KS4 & post 16 teaching in the future
-Superb new facilities
-Being part of something new and exciting for the City of Coventry

Finham Park Multi Academy Trust is delighted to announce that we are recruiting a Headteacher for Finham Park 2 for September 2023. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to shape the immediate and long-term future for the school, supported by a close-knit community of other Headteachers and colleagues across the Trust.
Finham Park 2 School is a smaller than average 11-18 secondary school serving communities in a 1-2 mile radius around the school in Coventry. The school therefore has a comprehensive intake of pupils. Finham Park 2 was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ in June 2018, and much progress has been made since the last inspection. The Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 120 with a temporary increase to 150 pupils in 2023 and 2024. There is real potential to grow Sixth Form provision over the next few years as part of a Trust-wide strategy. It is our belief that Finham Park 2 will become a learning community to rival the best on a national and international stage in the future. The successful candidate will lead Finham Park 2 and continue the drive to become a “World Class” school where all students have the times of their lives!
