We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and talented Teacher of Girls’ PE with a relentless focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a successful and supportive PE department. The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement, delivering engaging lessons, and increasing girls’ participation in PE and school sport. They will inspire students of all abilities to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
Desirable:
- Experience of teaching AQA GCSE Physical Education.
- A strong background in girls’ netball.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) may wish to apply.
Main responsibilities:
- To ensure that students achieve strong outcomes, regardless of their starting point.
- To teach Girls’ PE at KS3 and KS4.
- To develop and increase girls’ participation in PE, school sport, and extracurricular activities.
- To contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and raise standards at KS3 and KS4.
- To inspire students to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
- To support wider departmental initiatives and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- To contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme, including clubs, fixtures, and events.
