The School seeks to appoint from November 2019 and outstanding Teacher of Government and Politics – Maternity Cover - wanting to join a supportive and committed team who are passionate about the teaching and learning of this subject. Ability to teach to ‘A’ level is essential. It is desirable for the successful applicant to teach History. This presents an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified experienced teacher.
At St Peter’s we pride ourselves on our comprehensive CPD pathways for teachers who want to progress to Middle Leadership. In addition, sessions are run for existing middle leaders looking for promotion to Senior leadership. These courses enabled many of the applicants to gain promotion both internally and externally.

St Peter's is an 'all through school' that was designated GOOD with OUTSTANDING features by Ofsted in September 2017. It is delightfully situated on the Dorset Coast with ready access to the New Forest, both areas rich with opportunities for outdoor pursuits.
