Teacher of Health and Social Care - 1.0 FTE (maternity cover) job summary
We have a vacancy for a confident, enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced Teacher of Health and Social Care to join a strong, successful department from September 2021.
The successful candidate will:
• be an excellent, strongly motivated teacher able to teach across the ability range
• have a passionate commitment to making learning stimulating and relevant for all
• be a confident, skilled user of ICT
• be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School
• be familiar with the BTEC requirements at level 2 and level 3
• have a passionate commitment to making Health and Social Care relevant, accessible and
rewarding for all
The Health and Social Care department has three members of staff and is successful at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 consistently achieving good results. It is a popular option subject with many students choosing to continue with Health and Social Care related study at university. The department offers the Level 1 and 2 BTEC Tech Award at Key Stage 4 and the Level 3 BTEC National qualification at Key Stage 5.
