An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational, well qualified and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Teacher to join our progressive and vibrant department. We offer Pearson BTEC Tech Awards and Nationals as well as CACHE at levels 2 and 3. We also offer Criminology as a level 3 course. We would expect you to teach BTEC qualifications at KS4 AND KS5. Experience at delivering Childcare courses would be an advantage.

Essential skills and experience

Experience of working with children
Experience of teaching / teaching practicer
Ability to teach Health and Social Care related subject(s) across KS4 &KS5.
Have the potential to be excellent classroom practitioners
Ability to establish good relationships with students and to support them in the development of their skills and understanding
Up to date subject knowledge of developments in GCSE and BTEC and Health and Social care
Be committed to motivating and raising achievements for all students
To take responsibility for the progression of students
Ability to use language & other communication skills that students can understand and relate to. The ability to converse at ease & provide advice in accurate spoken English
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to foster a positive classroom ethos which motivates students to fulfil their potential
Self-motivation & resilience good team member
Ability to use ICT within teaching & for professional duties
