About the History Department:
The History department comprises of six trained History teachers with significant experience of teaching History. We pride ourselves on our passion for driving the quality of teaching and learning in the History department, but also across the whole school. A number of members of the department have roles within the school. There are two Assistant Principals, an ITT & ECT coordinator, a Lead Practitioner and an experienced mentor that comprises the History department. We study KS3 History in years 7 to 9 and Edexcel GCSE History in years 10 to 11 comprising of Medicine through time, Early Elizabethan England, Weimar & Nazi Germany and Superpower Relations and the Cold War. We are a well resourced department with a strong ethos of sharing so that we can all benefit from each others planning. This means there is a strong bank of lessons and resources available. History is well liked and enjoyed by students and is evident in our very high take up of GCSE History at Lynn Grove with six classes in both Year 10 and Year 11. The History department often takes trainee teachers from UEA & Warwick and therefore there are opportunities to mentor trainee teachers. The History department at Lynn Grove are a great team who support one another to be the best teachers we can.
About You:
As a Teacher at Lynn Grove Academy you will be a positive role model and consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviours, which we expect of pupils. Our ideal candidate would:

Requirements:
To apply for the Teacher of History, you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Be qualified to a degree level
- Have experience of teaching across the full age and ability range of an 11-16 school.
- Have experience in the use of ICT in the classroom with the skill to impact that expertise to others.
