What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity to join the team at Oasis Academy Sholing

Revolution, renaissance, or restoration. Whatever your favourite historical events or periods, help us amaze and enthuse our students. Join our growing department and deliver astounding lessons where history thrives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher looking to make a difference to the lives of young people. You will join a friendly and supportive team which strives to ensure that all students enjoy their learning and surpass expectations of achievement. If you wish to grow professionally, join us, and become part of the team developing an outstanding academy.

The role and what we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who can ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for history students, across the key stages, and who is fully on board with the academy vision to support our Head of History. Someone who will set high expectations for teaching and learning, inspire students to love learning, and challenge our students to think in new ways.

What the school offers its staff

Our offer to you:

When you join the Sholing family there are several offers you will receive that make us stand out as an employer of choice. These include but are not limited to:

  • Opportunities for training and development internally and externally – including certifications, with access to NPQML, NPQSL and NPQH programmes through Oasis
  • Reduced workload through the Oasis curriculum resource bank
  • Defined benefit teachers pension.
  • Cycle-to-work Incentive
  • Healthcare Cash Plan Scheme
  • Free eye tests
  • Flexible working
  • Free use of our dedicated gym area
  • Access to free counselling service
  • Integrated IT provision to support teaching, including your own laptop and I-pad
  • A friendly environment with colleagues who care

Commitment to safeguarding

Oasis Charitable Trust is wholly committed to ensuring that all children and adults at risk who engage with Oasis activities across the Oasis group through its subsidiaries (Oasis UK, Oasis Community Learning, Oasis College, Oasis Community Partnerships, Oasis Aquila Housing and STOP THE TRAFFIK), are cared for in a safe and secure environment.
