What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of History to work within our high performing Academy.
The successful candidate will have:
- A good Honours degree
- Postgraduate teaching qualification
- Evidence of successful teaching experience
- Evidence of consistently good teaching and learning
- The ability to use ICT effectively to engage students
- An understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for good teaching and learning
- The ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of learners
- Evidence of pastoral experience
- An interest in the wider curriculum

The purpose of your role will be:
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- To share and support the Academy's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
