Teacher of History job summary
We are looking to recruit a teacher of History who can teach across KS3 and KS4. At KS3, we are passionate about embedding historical knowledge and understanding as well as developing our students’ evaluative skills with sources. We are offering our students the chance to study the AQA History GCSE course which offers our students an exciting blend of modern and medieval history. We have many opportunities for a passionate History teacher to shape the future of our curriculum offer and inspire a curiosity about our past.

John Taylor Free School at Tatenhill is a partner school in the JTMAT. It is a “young” school which opened in September 2018 with a full cohort of 210 Year 7 students. We are in the fortunate position of being oversubscribed for the first four years. We will have 930 students in years 7-10 and this will be the first year of teaching GCSE courses. The school will continue to grow until it reaches capacity with 1550 11 – 18-year-old students (including 350 at Post 16).
