We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic highly skilled and passionate History teacher to join our extremely motivated and hard-working Humanities team.

You should be an excellent classroom practitioner and have students at the heart of your decision-making. We are looking for somebody who is creative and dynamic in the classroom and is able to engage a wide range of students. This role is suitable for NQT’s.

The department is looking for a Teacher of History who can support the improving GCSE results from the past two years and remain ambitious for all students studying this GCSE. The right candidate will be able to implement our five year History curriculum (Year 7 to Year 11) in their classroom as well as providing opportunities for students to expand their Cultural Capital. We are looking for a good team player who can work effectively with a wide range of staff including the History Team and wider Humanities Department.

Our team has been on an exciting journey over the past three years, with History GCSE results increasing into the high 70%s; 75% 9-4 Grades in 2019 and 66% Grades 9-4 in 2018. 26% of students attained 9-7 Grades in 2019 and 29% attained 9-7 Grades in 2018. We are driven to continue to improve these results over the coming years. Student numbers at GCSE level have increased year on year leading to an expansion of the team.
