Teacher of History job summary
We are currently seeking to appoint a teacher of History who has excellent subject knowledge, new ideas, enthusiasm and a desire to become an outstanding practitioner. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic and committed team of History teachers who provide a stimulating and challenging curriculum for all learners within this specialist Performing and Visual Arts School.
History is a popular option at both KS4 and KS5. The post holder will have the ability to teach History at KS3, KS4 and KS5 and demonstrate a flexibility to teach a small amount of either Geography, RS or Citizenship at KS3. It is a good school with outstanding Leadership. Central to all of our work is the determination to ensure that all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, succeed academically (OFSTED Dec 2017). It is a fantastic place to work and learn, especially as a newly qualified teacher. We are committed to developing teachers who are passionate about their subject and determined to convey this enthusiasm to their students.
