Teacher of History job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed Teacher of History to join this forward-looking department. You will be a strong classroom practitioner who has the ability to motivate young people of all abilities and you will be able to work well in a team.
You will work with colleagues to deliver high quality lessons in Key Stage 3, 4 and Post 16 across the school including extracurricular provision. History is a popular choice for students at Key Stage 4 and Post 16, and the results achieved by students are very good.
Our students make our school special; they are enthusiastic, talented and motivated to do well. We want the best for them and are looking to appoint a colleague who will add value to our school and support us in the drive to become truly outstanding.

St Thomas More School is a co-educational Catholic Academy which provides for the education needs of 11-18 year old pupils from the west of Gateshead L.A. Our school aims to provide a stimulating and encouraging environment within which students can attain the highest standards of which they are capable, and to assist them in taking their place in the world outside school in a useful and fulfilling career, with a firm sense of Christian commitment.
