Teacher of History job summary
Teacher of History
Required from September 2021
The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular oversubscribed school of 1300 students with attainment levels above the national average at both GCSE and post 16. We were inspected in March 2019 and the school was again judged as being “good”. It is worth reading the Ofsted letter as this gives a true flavour of our school.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified History Teacher with initiative, drive and determination. We have extremely high expectations of our students and staff and offer excellent training and professional development opportunities. This position would be ideal for either someone looking to broaden their experience or an NQT teacher.
Candidates are more than welcome to visit the school at any time and/or please view our school website josephwhitaker.org.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
For further information, and an application pack, please visit our website at www.emet.uk.com/vacancies or email recruitment@emet.uk.com. Only applications submitted on the school’s application form will be considered. We do not accept applications through recruitment agencies.
