The successful candidate willneed to:
Be inspirational in theclassroom with the ability to engage alllearners.
Be acutely aware of the various barriers to learningcoupled with experience and knowledge of how to overcome these barriers.
Be committed to high qualityteaching, learning and improving outcomes for all students.
Have a strong andsecure knowledge of the History curriculum, teaching AQA at GCSE and A levelwould be advantageous but not essential. Successful applicants will be expectedto teach KS3-5.
Be innovative,resilient and self-motivated to drive the departmental objectivesforwards.
Be very organised. Time management is key; you will beexpected to manage your own diary, be willing to plan new lessons to add to thebank of growing departmental resources including marking and providing bespokefeedback to all students.
Take ownership of the progression and outcomes ofindividual students and whole class outcomes.

We are a large mixedsecondary school for children aged 11-19, located in North Solihull/Birminghamborders.
