What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of History to join King James Academy Royston in September 2023.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively with the department to raise academic achievement and to ensure all students make good progress in History across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be a team player, who will instill a passion for History through high quality learning and teaching. Monitoring and tracking the progress of students through data is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of the History team. This role is suitable for all professionals in their teaching career, including Early Career Teachers.
The successful candidate must be an excellent practitioner who can support and challenge all students to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone to act as a role model for teaching and learning and make a distinctive contribution to the rising of student’s standards and the work of the wider team.
