What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint to the post of Humanities Teacher. This post presents a good opportunity for a n ECT or established practitioner to join a successful Area of Learning and to develop their career in a good school. At Holy Trinity our mission is to be a centre of excellence for learning inspired by Christian values where young people fulfil their potential.

There is a vacancy for a fully qualified Humanities teacher from September 2023. The role would involve teaching Humanities (History and Geography) across Key Stage Three, with the ability to teach at least one at Key Stage Four. It is essential that candidates demonstrate a willingness to teach across Humanities but they do not need to be an expert in all three subjects at present but must demonstrate a disposition to learn.

We require a candidate who:

  • Is an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher
  • Has potential to teach successfully across the Key Stages
  • Has a good understanding of current developments in the teaching of Humanities
  • Can evidence their commitment to excellent teaching and learning
  • Is willing to teach additional subjects within the Humanities Area of Learning
  • Is willing to get involved in the wider life of the school

In addition to teaching your primary and secondary subject across ages 11 to 18 there is an expectation that you may teach other subjects as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum. Relevant support will be offered.
