What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Humanities/Boys’ PE teacher to join our team. Applicants should have a proven track record of success and be committed to further improving teaching and learning as well as student progress. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop in a supportive, well-resourced and exciting environment. The vacancy is suitable for experienced or NQT (ECT) candidates.

We are oversubscribed and also benefitting from Litherland Moss Primary School, that is part of our Multi Academy Trust, located on our site. This is a very exciting time to join our school as we continue our journey to become an outstanding school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality lessons to students aged 11-16 in both Humanities (History, Geography and Religious Education) and Physical Education.
Physical Education (Boys’ PE), at KS4 we offer the WJEC Sport and Coaching Principles. For KS3 and KS4 Core PE we offer a variety of sports such football, rugby, handball, basketball, badminton, cricket and athletics. We also offer an extended extra-curricular timetable with our main sport for Boys’ PE being football, where we enter the Sefton, Merseyside and National Cup. We also have a good uptake in basketball and badminton.
In addition to delivering excellent lessons, you will be expected to contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in the extra curricular activities and school events.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work under pressure. They will also have a commitment to professional development and be willing to participate in training and development opportunities offered by the school.
