Teacher of Humanities - Geography Specialism job summary
Addey and Stanhope is seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative thinker to our Humanities department with Geography as a specialism. The successful candidate will have an absolute commitment to raising standards of achievement, developing strong progression in students’ learning and a desire to support the young people in all areas of their education.
We welcome applicants that have the ability to teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4, but with a particular specialism in Geography.
Humanities is a leading subject area that students value, our curriculum is engaging, diverse and varied; teachers are given the support and guidance to teach exceptional lessons, whilst also being given the flexibility to innovate and be creative.
We are a forward-thinking department, but with an appreciation for tradition and evidence-based instruction. We see our subject as being a vehicle for developing students holistically into critical thinkers, upstanders and extraordinary members of our local and global community.
We are looking to recruit someone who shares our passion for a Humanities education based on curiosity and creativity, as well as rigour and high expectations. We welcome applications from self-reflective, committed teachers at all stages in their career and who are always striving to improve their teaching practice and our students’ outcomes.
This post would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT and the right appointee will benefit from a wealth of experience and support, both formal and informal.

• Is committed to raising standards, with the highest expectations of all students.
• Will work collaboratively across key stages 3 and 4
• Is committed to developing as a teacher and contributing to the continued development of the faculty.
