What skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 students to at least GCSE level.
- Knowledge of Programmes of Study in Functional Skills and BTEC would be advantageous.
- QTS or QTLS status as appropriate
- Be committed to the safeguarding of students
- Have high expectations of pupils regarding achievement and behaviour
- Have good team skills with self-motivation and the ability to inspire others
- Have an approachable and caring nature
- Have a passion for teaching and working with students and the ability to drive them to be outstanding
- Have the enthusiasm to ensure that students get the education which they rightly deserve
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with all staff, students and parents
- Raise aspirations, expectations and achievement of all students regardless of ability

We adhere to all the necessary safeguarding checks as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022, including checking ID documents on all site visits (entry will not be allowed without this), all pre-employment vetting checks must include; references from previous employers and an enhanced DBS with barred list check. Dependent on role, a section 128 check and a check on the Teaching Regulation Agency will also be required. Social Media checks are also conducted for all shortlisted candidates.
