We are looking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of IT and Computer Science with a passion for accelerating progress within our IT department. You will have the ability to teach IT & Computer Science across the full age and ability range and will be able to enthuse, engage and motivate our students to achieve their full potential. This is an exciting time to join our journey of improvement and play a key part in transforming the lives of our young people.

Felixstowe School is well-resourced with 6 computer suites and an extensive upgrade being carried out this summer. With a rising uptake, the department delivers AQA GCSE Computer Science, BTEC ICT and Cambridge Nationals IT, and Cambridge Technicals IT at KS5.

The ideal candidate will:

You will join a friendly and welcoming faculty which is forward thinking, innovative and passionate about their teaching. IT and computer science is a much-valued subject within Felixstowe School. We are looking for a driven individual who will inspire our students to take the subjects at KS4 and KS5 in Felixstowe School and become more confident and curious in their learning.

We are looking for a teacher who loves their subject; is a creative thinker and not afraid to try new things.

The developing course to be taught involves IT skills, programming using a variety of languages and life skills. The most suitable candidate will be one who excels at encouraging students to connect the subject to the world around them and is willing to help promote the subjects via extra-curricular activities or competitions.

You will be joining a faculty of equally committed colleagues who are determined to raise standards, generate real student interest in IT and Computer Science and ensure students enjoy their learning.
