Teacher of IT and Computer Science job summary

Teacher of IT and Computer Science - May have the opportunity to teach Business Studies

MPR - UPR. Full or part time hours considered

“Our students don’t just consume technology. They learn how to shape it, question it, and change the world with it.”

In a world where every career is touched by tech, we're not just teaching IT and Computer Science - we’re lighting a spark that could power the next generation of game-changers, coders, engineers, creators, and innovators.

We’re looking for a trailblazer to join our forward-thinking department. Someone who gets excited about Raspberry Pi projects and the potential of AI. Someone who can talk algorithms and ethics in the same breath. Someone who knows that teaching IT and Computer Science is about much more than exam results - it’s about showing students the doors technology can open, and giving them the confidence to walk through them.

What makes us different?

  • Curriculum crafted, not copied: Our bespoke KS3 curriculum blends Computer Science with digital literacy, designed in-house to be relevant, exciting, and ambitious.
  • Choice and challenge at KS4 & KS5: We offer OCR GCSE Computer Science, Cambridge National in IT, and A-level Computer Science, with plans to expand into vocational routes from 2026.
  • Strong student uptake: With students going on to top universities and apprenticeships, we’re not just preparing them for exams- we’re preparing them for life.
  • Enriched learning: From Bebras and CyberFirst to First Lego League, we’re always open to creative ideas that spark curiosity beyond the classroom.
  • Top-tier resources: Four well-equipped computer suites, physical computing tools (Micro:bits, Raspberry Pi), and a cloud-first Microsoft 365 approach.
  • Genuinely supportive team culture: A dedicated office with workstations for all department members, and an IT tech team that actually helps.

Who are we looking for?

A passionate educator who:

  • Can teach across KS3–KS5 (or is keen to develop into that).
  • Wants to be part of a collaborative, future-focused team.
  • Brings fresh ideas, energy, and a real love for the subject.
  • Sees the power of computing education to change lives.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT with a clear vision, we want to hear from you.

Be bold. Be curious. Be the teacher who opens up new worlds.
