Salford City Academy have an exciting opportunity for a teacher of IT. The successful candidate will be a hard-working and passionate teacher who is committed to enthusing in students a love of the subject. They will be able to plan and deliver outstanding lessons across both KS3 and KS4 that ensure students both enjoy and make good progress within the subject and leave school with strong IT skills, knowledge and understanding.

The IT Department is an extremely ambitious and the successful candidate will be join an established department which is wholly committed to a research-informed approach to teaching, learning and assessment. On appointment you will reap the benefits of a purposefully sequenced curriculum and centralised departmental resources.

The academy benefits from state of the art facilities, designed to engage, and motivate students. The academy has a digital strategy that ensures that resources, software and strategic planning benefit all staff and students. Resources range from Surface Pro devices for all teaching staff, cameras for demonstrations in practical subjects and visualisers for modelling in all lessons. Specifically, the IT department has a wide range of hardware and software to support engagement and learning. As an academy committed to professional development, all teaching staff will be expected to actively participate in CPD programmes. We work collaboratively, share good practice, and have a trust-wide approach to development. We need to make sure we have the right people in the right place doing the job that is needed to build excellent provision for our children and young people. Staff are supported and developed professionally to make sure they can do that and are valued and recognised for their work.
