What skills and experience we're looking for

Greenfields Academy is a 5-16 (KS1-KS4) special school for pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, innovative and caring Teacher of Key Stage 2 or 3 ready for the challenge of an all-though SEMH environment. This post would be suitable for all however, experience of working with pupils with a wide range of special educational needs is preferable.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will deliver the Greenfields Voyage by…
  • High quality sequential planning, delivery, development and assessment of all Curriculum subjects
  • Creative and Innovative application of the Thematic Curriculum
  • Identification and referral of Interventions
  • Ability and confidence to plan, lead and review focussed Educational Visits
  • Develop and embed principles of Nurture and their phasing across a Key Stage
  • Fulfil the role of ‘Wellbeing Tutor’ to a class group and lead the ‘Wellbeing Mentor’
  • Assess and review pupil’s EHCP progress, needs and wider SEND processes
